I WORK WITH SUPERWOMEN!

I am a passionate advocate for women and always have been. I believe in the power we each hold as individuals and in the power of a collective sisterhood. Wellness goes beyond physical health and transcends all aspects of our life. If we are well at work, our home life will be enriched and vise versa. I have extensively studied areas that help women uncover and strengthen their internal personal power: Emotional Intelligence, Positive Psychology, Self Determination Theory & Mindfulness. Using these concepts I work with each client to develop a unique coaching plan helping to develop skills that allow her to become the woman she is meant to be!

A short story: After working in the leadership capacity for fifteen years, I found transferring to a staff position very difficult. This wasn't usual for me. I had always transitioned well and fit in easily with work groups. Now, it seemed as though everything I did made my situation worse, not better. No matter what I tried, it was wrong. Although I was successful at my work tasks, I struggled with adversity of fulfilling a different role and a tight-knit department that wasn't exactly welcoming. I was no longer passionate about the work I was doing. The unhappiness I felt at work seeped into my life at home. I had little energy. I went from work to home to bed and did it again the next day. I was distant from my family, had forgotten the importance of activity and exercise. I found myself doomscrolling (it was 2009 and I was just getting into Facebook and Pinterest!) I felt trapped and struggled to see that I could make changes that would improve not only my work, but restore my passion, creativity and joy that I had let slip away. I found myself in an internal loop that I couldn't get out of on my own. I needed the help of a great coach to see my way forward.

My interest in NeuroType Affirming Coaching began when my dear husband identified his neuro type as Autism Spectrum (ASD) Level 1 in middle age. Wanting to support the love of my life, I became obsessed with learning as much as I could about neuro spectrum differences from ASD to ADHD and everything in-between. Not only have I read extensively about NeuroType, I have taken continuing education courses in psychology and feel well versed in NeuroType Affirming Care. It is my belief that the spectrum of NeuroTypes reflects neuro differences, similar to cultural differences, rather than what are medically considered as "disorders" or "deficits." With this viewpoint, I am excited to help women who identify as ASD or ADHD succeed within a work environment that can be challenging. Not by camouflaging as "neurotypical," but through identifying their unique skills and abilities and through strong self-advocacy.

It doesn't matter where you are in your career. Adversity hits at every stage and, although it is influenced by different triggers, one aspect remains the same - your fortitude and power! Overcoming adversity at work often comes down to making small changes in your regular patterns that allow you to see the situation clearly. You can the work with through the difficulty instead of against it.
My 12 week comprehensive program for women experiencing workplace adversity can help you uncover your strengths, build upon your confidence and learn new ways to manage the variety of work situations that can become problematic.
At the end of the program you will have uncovered your passion, released your creativity and found balance that allows expertise at work and full presence and joy at home!

Workplace adversity is unavoidable.
You have a choice in how you manage it!
